Studio
Toolkitanchorgrid is a small reporting studio in Talbenny. We prepare figures and captions for charity boards and for people who already give. We are not an accounts practice and we are not a fundraising agency.
Elspeth Crane sat as a co-opted finance officer for a Pembrokeshire wildlife charity whose AGM always stalled on the gifts page. The statutory accounts were in order. The fundraising year was a spreadsheet with campaign names that only staff recognised. Trustees who had joined from farming, teaching, and the lifeboat station could not see Gift Aid, restricted roof money, or the mailing that had under-performed.
The studio’s first paid work was that charity’s next year-end pack: a narrative they could read on the train to Haverfordwest, and a two-page letter for the three households who had given a significant gift. The name Toolkitanchorgrid stuck from an old harbour chart Elspeth kept above the desk — an anchor grid used for taking a bearing, not a product name.
You remain the charity. We remain the people who draw the year. Gift exports come to us as files; we do not sit inside your donor records. Captions use the programme names you are willing to print. If a total would mislead a new trustee, we will say so in the draft rather than decorate it.
Most work is remote across the United Kingdom. Proofs that need to be spread on a table can be done at 78 Scotsburn Rd, Talbenny, SA62 7BZ, United Kingdom, by appointment.
