When a fee can be returned, and when work already drawn stays billed.

These rules apply to commissions described on this site: reports, board packs, campaign close briefings, grant annexes, stewardship plates, and the trustee workshop. They do not cover goods we do not sell.

Eligibility

A refund may apply if we cancel a commission before delivery, if we miss an agreed delivery date by more than ten working days for reasons within our control, or if you cancel in writing before we have started drawing from your files.

Timeframe for asking

Ask within fourteen days of the event you rely on (our cancellation, a missed date, or your decision to stop before work starts). Write to hello@toolkitanchorgrid.click.

Full or partial

If no draft has been issued, the deposit is returned in full. If a draft has been issued, we retain a portion that reflects working days already spent, described in the scoping note (typically the opening fifty per cent once a first draft exists). The unused remainder of the final fee is not invoiced, or is returned if already paid.

Non-refundable

Print buying and postage billed at cost are not returned once ordered. A workshop date held inside ten days, where we have already prepared a workbook from your figures, is not refunded in full; we will offer one reschedule instead.

Process

Email the charity name, the scoping-note date, and whether you seek a refund or a reschedule. We reply within five working days with the calculation.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are paid within fourteen days by the same bank transfer method used to pay us. We do not take cards on this website, so there is no card reversal here.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule a workshop once without a further facilitation fee if you give ten days’ notice. Travel already booked may still be charged at cost. Quarterly packs can be paused for a cancelled trustee meeting; the pause is not a refund of work already issued for an earlier meeting.

Deposits and no-shows

The opening fifty per cent begins the drawing. If you do not send files within thirty days of paying it, we may close the commission and retain the deposit against time held. If attendees do not arrive for a booked workshop, the facilitation fee stands; we will leave the workbooks with the charity.

Work already started and materials

Drafts, captions, and plates already prepared remain billable as above. Paper and ink bought for a requested print run are materials we cannot restock as unused; those costs stay with the charity once ordered at your request.

Exceptions

If we are unable to complete work because of illness at the studio, we will refund unused fees or agree a later date. Statutory cooling-off rights for consumers, where they apply, are not displaced by this page; most clients commission as charities acting in the course of their work.
