Half day
Trustee workshop on reading fundraising figures
A half-day session for up to twelve trustees and senior staff, using the charity’s own last quarter — not a generic classroom pack — so new board members can follow Gift Aid, restricted balances, and lapsed giving.
£1,400 · Half day (three hours teaching plus a break), plus a fortnight of preparation
Who it is for
Boards that have recently appointed trustees from outside charity finance.
What you receive
Trustees leave able to ask a specific question about restricted money or a late campaign, rather than nodding through the treasurer’s paper.
Included
- Half-day facilitation
- Workbook for twelve
- Follow-up one-pager
Not included
- Trustee recruitment
- Charity Commission filings
Who does the work
Elspeth Crane facilitates. A printed workbook uses your figures, anonymised if you require.
How the work proceeds
- Collect last quarter’s papers.
- Prepare a workbook with your headings.
- Run the half day.
- Leave a one-page ‘questions to keep asking’ sheet.

Last quarter’s gift totals, a reserves figure you are willing to show the room, and a list of attendees.
